Kegedawan (The Gift)

SHOW TITLE: Kegedawan (The Gift)
RUNNING TIME: 1h 30m
VENUE: The Conelly Theatre
GENRE: Local Clown/Mask, Drama
AIR CONDITIONED: Yes
INTERMISSION: No

RATING (0-4): 1

RATING SCALE:

0 Run, don’t walk, away from this disaster
1 Proceed with caution
2 Mild summer fare
3 More than just hype
4 Don’t miss this one, its FRINGE-tastic!

COMMENTS:

I can see how the novel this play is based on would be an inspiring read, but the story didn’t translate to stage as well as it could have. I liked the idea of the cast wearing masks, but the “jungle dances” that the ensemble broke into were cheesy.

POST-FRINGE PREDICTIONS:

None

I totally agree. This show was pointless. I'm not a fan of tribal stuff to being with. But by reading aboutthe show I expected much more than I was given.
