The True Tragedy of the Mortician

SHOW TITLE: The True Tragedy of the Mortician
VENUE: 13th Street Repertory Company
GENRE: Local Comedy/Drama
INTERMISSION: No, unfortunately

RATING (0-4): 0

0 Run, don't walk, away from this disaster
1 Proceed with caution
2 Mild summer fare
3 More than just hype
4 Don't miss this one its FRINGE-tastic!

I did not enjoy this play. I felt the pace was very slow and the acting could of been much stronger.

As it is, I don’t see it going anywhere.

Sometimes reviews don't take many words. I understand what is being said, it could have been abit more descriptive, but I syill get the general idea. If you don't agree write your own, that's what this site is for!

You're entitled -- perfectly clearly entitled -- to an opinion, any opinion you're moved to have. But do you have to be such an asshole?

What I mean by that is this: we're not talking about Broadway here, asshole. This was a first-ever production by a young playwright still getting his sealegs. And you'd better believe it took vastly more consideration and effort for him & his fellows to write, edit, design, and produce it than would be deserved by the meager flippancy of your "review". You don't have to like it, and you don't have to have even anything positive to say about it, but it's a mystery to me where the fuck you get off complacently allowing that facile, wordless rejection to pass for "a review". The question is not whether anyone who disagrees with you should write their own -- it's whether you shouldn't back up your opinion, with even a few cherry-picked and subjective observations about the work, so that what your review won't be -- as in its present state it is -- susceptible to the broadest claims of pure reasonless self-satisfaction.

That is my opinion of your "review". If you don't like it, I suggest you review it yourfuckingself.
